Protest before the Moroccan Consulate

Some 300 people gathered before the Moroccan Consulate on Thursday 11th December, in protest against the violence, repression and human rights violations perpetrated by the Moroccan occupying forces last Monday, as they dismantled the Gadaym Izik camp, near El Aai˙n, in Western Sahara.

Edgardo Pérez Aguirre represented Convergence of Cultures in the Second Symposium of the World Centre of Humanist Studies, entitled "Foundation of the New Civilization", by discussing culture in the session "Intangible Socio-Historical Elements that Shape Society."

Seminar on Attention Exercise in the Toledo Park

On Sunday 7th November members of Convergence of Cultures' Mixtura and Carabanchel teams took part in the first Seminar on Attention Exercises which took place in Toledo's Park of Study and Reflection.

Milan - 9 immigrant at Imbonati Via tower

Convergence of Cultures in Milan supported the protest by immigrants from Brescia and Milan

Nine immigrants have gone up the Tower "Carlo Erba" in Imbonati Street, corner of Bovio Street, in Milan. The reason was to support immigrants that in Brescia, last Saturday, climbed a crane at the subway works in Brescia, to protest against the lack of regularization of the immigrants who were in Italy when the "Pacchetto sicurezza" transformed the situation of "irregular" (without papers) to "crime of hiding."

Migrant's Day in Barcelona

The team "Futura" Convergence of Cultures were last Sunday, October 24, in the "Day of the Migrant" that organized the city hall of Barcelona. We spread the campaign "Thousands of faces toward the Universal Human Nation."

Multicultural dinners in Prague to support the Czech Park of Study and reflection

During the past two months, some members of Convergence of Cultures in Prague have organized several Multicultural dinners at home to invite friends and adherents to support financially the Park of Study and Reflection. Every time someone from the given culture (we had evenings dedicated to Georgia, Italy, Russia…etc.) has cooked a meal special from the country and the whole evening was dedicated to the theme of the School and Parks (talks, videos…etc.).

Peace and dialogue in the Sahara

Convergence of Cultures, an International Federation standing for the dialogue between cultures and non-violence, declares its support for the Saharawi people and demands UN resolutions regarding their right to self-determination to be fulfilled.

Appeal to stop the rise of xenophobic movements throughout Europe

Convergence of Cultures is expressing its concern for the growth of xenophobic and violent groups of the extreme right throughout Europe and urges the European Parliament to take urgent measures.

Today I am also Sahrawi

Today we are Nayem Elgarhi, we are the mother weeping for her son. Today we are each of the dead, each person battered in the camp of Gdeim Izik. Today we are each of the missing, each of the violated, each of those persecuted for speaking out. Today we are one of the forgotten. Today we also belong to the Saharawi people.

More than holidays

Argentine. Decree 1584/10 that the President signed this week, seems an advanced measure that goes in the direction of diversity and convergence we want.

Bolivia. Law against racism and discrimination

Today Convergence of Cultures celebrates the law against racism, that has been enacted by the Bolivian president Evo Morales, and that we consider not only democratic but also historical.
