In addition to the news and the bulletins that have recently been released on our website: Convergence of Cultures, we also announce two important facts that will happen at the beginning of May:

- On May 4th we will celebrate the emergence of Universalist Humanism, a movement that was formed around Silo, from his first public statement in Punta de Vacas (Argentina) on May 4th, 1969.

- From 6th to May 16th the annual campaign of economic contributions will be conducted for all the full members of Convergence of Cultures.

Madrid (Spain). Convergence of the Cultures´ members, talk about the meeting that under the name of Intercultural vernal equinox, took place in Madrid.

Humanism puts pressure to stop military advances in Libya

Opposite the French embassy in Buenos Aires, a delegation from the International Humanist Party and Convergence of Cultures delivered a statement to the diplomatic representatives in which they demanded the ceasefire in Libya. They recalled the principles of the World March for Peace and Non-Violence and also denounced the interests of some world powers for petroleum in Libya.

In many ways, the work we are doing from Convergence of Cultures points to an idea of the future that we have already called: Universal Human Nation. And maybe because that image sucks us up, we can detect some facts that are appearing on the new human horizon with the contents and the meanings typical of that image.

Interethnic Forum at Guinea

On Saturday 26th February 2011, for the first time at Guinea was celebrated the Interethnic Forum with the theme “A Guinea without ethics”, organized by the humanist association “Convergence of Cultures” at the institute INRAP University Gamal Abdel Nasser of Conakry.

4th May: The Origin of Universal Humanism

4th May is the anniversary of the emergence of universal humanism and reason for celebration for humanists around the world. On that date, with the help of Silo, was born a movement that works on many fronts of human endeavor with the goal of humanizing the Earth.

Ivory Coast, the ignored crisis

The world team of the humanist organism Convergence of Cultures denounces the growing violence that the non-resolved post-electoral crisis is causing in Ivory Coast, and demands a non-violent solution that lets the country overcome the social fracture. There have been many victims of indiscriminate violence, among them the humanists Lacina, Drissa and Moumouni.

On March 24th in Buenos Aires (Argentina), Convergence of Cultures did not fail to meet. Thousands of citizens and organizations demonstrated to voice NEVER AGAIN on the anniversary of the last and most violent coup d´état that ever occurred in the country's history. Look at the video
