Madrid (Spain) "We all share a common idea “if one does not have his/ her papers in order, neither of us have”. Once again, we are here to insist on the closing of the Detention Centers for Immigrants, as we have been doing in the last months every Friday at Plaza Aluche. Those were the first lines from the Carbanchel´s Convergence of Culture team communiqué read on the 25th of May, on the Confluence call for the closing of the Detention Centers for Immigrants.

On this occasion the motto chosen has been “There´ s not enough toilet paper for so many shit" Beyond doubt we all can remember a wide selection of monumental bullshit that as for migration have been carried out this country. It should be enough to indicate the "Biggest Turd" defecated with the Spanish immigration law, the "Monumental Dung Pile" product of the Racist Roundups, excreted the same day in which the Detention Centers for Immigrants were created, or the "Piano size crap” that they evacuated recently on having immigrants excluded from the sanitary coverage , besides other excrements , droppings, depositions, excretions and several other shits.

For most, we here are " hurting the sensibility " of some absent-minded transient whose without the guts to bear words such as, fart, shit or ass … but if we speak about sensibility, then how does one feel with the systematic harassment to the immigrants?, how does it resound within yourself the humiliations they suffer?, how do you personally suffer their human rights violations? In all these cases, do we feel hurt?

We want to speak clearly in order that to be understood, and if it is necessary to say that they are carrying our shitty politics, it will be necessary to say “shitty politics”, and not to resort to the semantic racketeering, the one that they us accustomed to when referring, for example, to social cuts, as “adjustments", "restructuring" or any other euphemism removed from the reality.

Today´s politics is not in line with which it should be during crisis time. It is a filthy policy if it values money more than persons; because it leaves on hold the future of the next generations and because it excludes the weakest links from society.

Dear friends, to claim the Closing of the Detention Centers for Immigrants and any other human right make sense because this way we show to the powerful ones that they do not have the future under their control”
