Convergence of Cultures in Milan supported the protest by immigrants from Brescia and Milan
Nine immigrants have gone up the Tower "Carlo Erba" in Imbonati Street, corner of Bovio Street, in Milan. The reason was to support immigrants that in Brescia, last Saturday, climbed a crane at the subway works in Brescia, to protest against the lack of regularization of the immigrants who were in Italy when the "Pacchetto sicurezza" transformed the situation of "irregular" (without papers) to "crime of hiding."
"We are demand residence permits to all immigrants who participated in the reform, that as such should ìfixî all previous irregularities, including the situation of those with the crime of" clandestinity"; an increas of the validity of residence permit (as the police department employs 9 or more months to renew it) and that a residence permit is granted to those who lose their jobs and are seeking another, especially in these times of crisis. "
