Stand at the Womad Festival
In the park of Santa Catalina in Las Palmas de Gran Canarias each year is held the festival Womad in the month of November with various open stages. This is a festival of world music and holding workshops and various food stalls, crafts and associations.
Once again we participated on a stand, where other humanist friends also joined us. We inform the people about our project and presented as main activity our ongoing project to open a Park of Study and Reflection on the island of Gran Canarias.
In addition to collecting data from interested people to collaborate, we distributed leaflets and sold calendars with the principles of valid action and the asking of Silo to support the Park. The Festival lasted four days from Thursday 11 to Sunday 14 November.
Support for the Saharawi people
From this November we have been involved in campaigns denouncing the current situation of the Saharawi people, the violent eviction of the camp Gdeim Izik and continued persecution and torture they were subjected to the Saharawi in Aaiun occupied by the Moroccan regime.
